Πλεονεκτήματα δεν βρήκαμε. Υποτίθεται ότι η ΝΟΚΙΑ ανέπτυξε ένα ειδικό σύστημα στης νέας γενιάς κινητά τηλέφωνα τα οποία όταν κάνουμε κλήση σε ένα άτομο και αυτός βρίσκεται σε χώρο με πολύ φασαρία ενεργοποιεί ένα ειδικό φίλτρο για να μπορούμε να τον ακούμε καλύτερα. Αυτό το σύστημα περισσότερο φαίνεται ότι μειώνει την ένταση του ακουστικού παρά του γενικότερου θορύβου.Άλλωστε η ανάπτυξη ειδικού λογισμικού του οποίου αναγνωρίζει την συχνότητα της φωνής από τον γενικότερο θόρυβο έτσι ώστε να την απομονώσει, είναι πολύ δύσκολο να επιτυγχανθεί σε τόσο χαμηλή ποιότητας ακουστικής. Οι συχνότητες θορύβου και φωνής δεν μπορούν εύκολα να ξεχωριστούν από το κινητό και τα αποτελέσματα είναι απογοητευτικά για τους χρήστες αυτής της λειτουργίας.
Το τεστ πραγματοποιήθηκε στα Nokia 6210 navigator, Nokia 6220 classic και Nokia 6720

Σε παλιότερο post είχαμε αναφέρει για το μεγαλύτερο bug που διαθέτουν τα κινητά τηλέφωνα και το ονομάζουν curse of silence. Η Nokia μετά από αρκετό καιρό αναγνώρισε το curse of silence ως bug των τηλεφώνων της κι έβγαλε αρχείο fix (σε μορφή .sis) το οποίο διορθώνει το πρόβλημα.

Ίσως από τα καλύτερα Projects που είναι τόσο πειστικά φτιαγμένο που σε κάνει να πιστεύεις ότι αυτό το τηλέφωνο θα είναι σύντομα διαθέσιμο στην αγορά. Το Pomegranatephone NS08 είναι το μοναδικό τηλέφωνο που φτιάχνει και καφέ…!
Συγχαρητήρια σε αυτούς που έφτιαξαν αυτή την έξυπνη διαφήμιση…:)

Η νέα έκδοση λογισμικού για το Nokia 5800 είναι πλέον διαθέσιμη από τον Nokia Updater. Η βελτιωμένη έκδοση 21.0.0.025 περιλαμβάνει βελτιώσεις στην touch screen κι έχει καλύτερη ανταπόκριση όταν την χρησιμοποιεί ο χρήστης, βελτιώνει τα bugs που υπήρχαν με την συνδεσιμότητα του bluetooth, τον browser. Βελτιώσεις έχουν γίνει και στον media player του 5800.

Πολλές οι βελτιώσεις της νέας έκδοσης του Ν78 v20.139. Μερικές από αυτές έχουν να κάνουν με την σταθερότητα και την βελτίωση το wifi και του audio, σταθερότητα στο Internet και σε άλλες εφαρμογές που υπήρχαν bugs καθώς επίσης και με την ταχύτητα του μενού και των λειτουργίων του.
Παραθέτουμε στα αγγλικά τις βελτιώσεις:

*While scanning for wireless networks in the home screen, instead of saying ?No networks found? as in the past, it says ?No WLANs available?, also some other minor name changes in this menu.
*Share online icon in standby screen seems to be different
*When going back to the music player via the standby screen, it goes straight into the player without a fading in/out transition as it did before when Theme Effects are turned on (an instantaneous response). However, for going into other sections from the standby screen the fade in/out transition still occurs.
*When Music Player is operating, and seeing the track name on the screen, and then when one song ends and goes to the next track, the speed at which this happens is much improved although not flawless (there is still some lag).
*Scrolling up and down through the entries in the standby screen is very fast and not slow like before.

Call log, Contacts and calling function:

*Calling speed (from standby screen to Contacts or Call Log) and transition to call/disconnected screens much faster and improved
*Faster resume of music playback after call is ended
*Volume bar is changed from ten dotted increment to continuous coloured volume triangle (this has also been reflected in other menus and options throughout the phone)

Maps:

*Maps updated to version 2.0

Music Player:

*Much faster interface and speed through all menus
*Pressing volume keys is much improved and faster and more accurate response than before (where it may have taken time in the past for the volume level to update)
*Music controls (i.e. Rewind, Fast forward, play/pause, stop) are no longer the same colour as the matching theme, now it is just the same light green colour across all themes
*Visualisations are still a bit slow, but faster than before

Photos:

*Transition into the Photos application is much faster than before
*Scrolling through photos and videos and the like is still jerky and thumbnails still take a while to be updated from pixelated to clear thumbnails

Settings:

*In Themes, there is a new theme called Music (very yucky looking I must admit)
*Power saver now includes ?Now playing? option, so when the backlight goes off, the currently playing song and time are displayed on the screen for a number of seconds before disappearing. This occurs before keypad lock is activated, and when any key is pressed, the names of the song light up (in green or red). Also when going from one track to the next while this screensaver is activated, the date is displayed briefly.

Other:

*General speed improvements across all menus and applications
*Help function is much faster and speed improved
*New help topics added to Help function
*Speed dial now works without any lag
*New RealPlayer interface and version updated (where the RealPlayer screen is no longer displayed but grey bars on top and bottom of the video)
*About application has been updated for the year dates so that they are all ?2009?.
*Installation of applications and refresh of available applications within the Application Manager is much improved and faster (although icons for installed applications are now not displayed)
*?Application update? added to Applications
*Carousel menu has new options under each heading
*Navi-wheel seems to have been tweaked a bit more
*Background light settings actually work now
*Truncated email-account login name fixed

Μερικά tips που βοηθάνε το κινητό τηλέφωνο να είναι γρήγορο και να μην κολλάει:

1. Αναβάθμιση λογισμικού. Θα πρέπει να ενημερώνετε το λογισμικό του κινητού σας τηλεφώνου εφόσον υπάρχει διαθέσιμη έκδοση. Η διαδικασία είναι πλέον εύκολη και στα περισσότερα κινητά τηλέφωνα μπορεί να γίνει από τον ίδιο τον χρήστη. Η αναβάθμιση θα διορθώσει προβλήματα του λογισμικού και βελτιώνει την ταχύτητα του.

2. Μην βάζετε φωτογραφίες στο background που είναι τραβηγμένες σε υψηλή ανάλυση. Μία φωτογραφία με πολλά megapixel δεσμεύει πολύ μνήμη όταν την χρησιμοποιούμε για background ενώ η ανάλυση της οθόνης είναι σαφώς πολύ μικρότερη.

3. Κλείνετε τις εφαρμογές που χρησιμοποιείτε. Τις περισσότερες φορές ειδικά στα τηλέφωνα με λειτουργικό symbian οι εφαρμογές δεν κλείνουν και λειτουργούν στο background του κινητου. Αυτό γίνεται όταν πατάμε το κόκκινο κουμπί που τερματίζει την κλήση του τηλεφώνου ενώ στην πραγματικότητα δεν έχουμε τερματίσει την εφαρμογή.

4. Μην χρησιμοποιείτε βαριά θέματα. Πολλά θέματα που είναι animated επιβαρύνουν την μνήμη του τηλέφωνου και το κάνουν κυριολεκτικά να σέρνεται. Χρησιμοποιείτε θέματα κυρίως του ίδιου κατασκευαστή που είναι πολύ μικρά σε μέγεθος κι όχι τρίτων που συνήθως είναι πολύ μεγάλα και δεσμεύουν αρκετή μνήμη.

5. Χρησιμοποιείστε τις συντομεύσεις. Εκτός από τα πλήκτρα συντόμευσης υπάρχουν και κάποια tips που έχουν τα κινητά για να μπείτε σε μία επιλογή ενός μενού.Πχ τα ΝΟΚΙΑ μπορούν πατώντας το μενού και συνδυασμό αριθμών να μπουν πολύ γρήγορα σε υπομενού.

6. Απενεργοποιείστε το 3g όταν δεν το χρησιμοποιείτε. Πολλές φορές η εναλλαγή από μία κεραία 3g σε κανονική ή το αντίστροφο βγάζει το τηλέφωνο εκτός δικτύου και η διαδικασία εναλλαγής 3g σε gsm φορτώνει το τηλέφωνο. Αφήστε το κινητό να δουλεύει μόνο gsm κι όταν θέλετε να κάνετε βίντεοκλήσεις ενεργοποιείστε το 3g. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο θα έχετε περισσότερη ταχύτητα και μπαταρία

Η γνωστή εκπομπή brainiac έκανε ένα πείραμα βάζοντας 100 κινητά τηλέφωνα γύρω και πάνω από 1 αυγό και άλλα 100 κινητά τηλέφωνα να κάνουν κλήση σε αυτά που ήταν κοντά στο αυγό. Τελικά το αυγό από την μεγάλη ακτινοβολία ψήθηκε;
